Lakeside Terrace Condominium is located at 7501 and 7505 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda. Built in the mid 1960's it consists of two four-story buildings with 215 units, including one used for a dental office and another for a doctor's office. There is a swimming pool between the buildings and two tennis courts in back. One of the tennis courts has a basketball hoop for optional use. The community is conveniently located near I-270 and the Capital Beltway. Two Ride-On bus lines pass in front of the community providing access to the Bethesda and Rockville Metro stations.
Lakeside is located within a 5 minute walk right next to Montgomery Mall. The Mall has over 211 stores, a large food court and a movie theater. Cabin John Shops, Giant grocery, Home Depot, and the Wildwood Center are also a short 5-10 minute drive from Lakeside.
Lakeside Terrace is also within walking distance to one of Montgomery County's largest sports and recreation parks, Cabin John Regional Park. The park has athletic fields, including the beautiful Shirley Povich Baseball Field; a full-service ice-skating rink; indoor and outdoor tennis courts; many picnic areas, over 5 miles of biking/hiking trails, camp sites, and a half acre dog park. Kids of all ages can enjoy the miniature train that runs through the park and most of the facilities are wheelchair accessible and pet friendly. The Cabin John Park Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center is also within walking distance. The center features six indoor tennis courts, a lounge area, and two locker rooms with showers for patrons' use. Professional on-site racquet restringing and regripping is also available.
The community is surrounded by some of the best schools Montgomery County MD has to offer. Ashburton Elementary School, North Bethesda Middle School and Walter Johnson High Schools all serve the community. Walter Johnson HS is ranked 5th within Maryland public schools and has a very strong Advanced Placement (AP) program.
