Olney condominiums

You probably don't think of Olney if you're looking in the market for a condo.  Depending on your price range, you're most likely looking in Rockville or Gaithersburg or Germantown...  Downtown Silver Spring and Bethesda if you must be close to D.C.

Let me tell you there are some real gems to be found in Olney.  What a great way to get your foot in the door so you are part of the Olney family.  Your kids can immediately make Olney friends through our schools and sports programs.  We have some of the best in the area.  Research Sherwood and Good Counsel for starters. According to above chart, we see price improvements from one year ago in at least four neighborhoods.
1.70%  Olney Mill
7.80%  Barnsley Manor Estates
12.6%  Hallowell
32.7%  Williamsburg Village

The others for the most part were flat... but Olney Square took a hit.

27 homes closed between 400k to 500k
Only 5 of these sales were above $500,000.  509, 520, 525, 529, and 584.5
They were sold on average in 22 days, with three selling in 0 days.  Over HALF sold in 6 days or less!
A 1% seller subsidy was the average given to buyers.  Although HALF were sold with NO seller subsidy at all.

This community also has single family detached homes. 
These townhouses range from aprox 1,900 to 2,300 square feet, plus the basement.  They are nice open layouts with high 9 feet ceilings on all floors, including the lower level basement.  Big windows and abundant sunshine makes it's way into the home. These are 3 level townhomes built in 1999/2000, and come with one or two-car garages.

To get here, would most likely be determined by the time of day.  During rush-hour, you would want to avoid Georgia Avenue as you get closer to Olney.  Thus, make a left onto Emory Lane shortly after the ICC.
